Production Operative
Family Drives and develops the ability of engineering, logistics and production operations to efficiently and effectively meet market demand while ensuring maximum production safety, quantity and quality. Discipline Sets up and operates automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Activities include monitoring meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and process requirements. May plan production activities.

Summary
The Blends Plant Operator reports directly to the Blends Plant Team Leader ensuring the Plant runs at optimised efficiency/throughput whilst maintaining the company quality standards and UFAS requirements. To ensure that a high level of Health & Safety and hygiene is adhered to at all times throughout the operation.
Purpose of the Job
- To produce blends to the required specifications and maintain effective quality control in order to meet the requirements of the quality assurance scheme as specified
- Communicate to Colleagues and other departments if there are any issues in achieving the plan
- Ensure Environmental/Energy management system is followed and adhered to complying with BS EN ISO 14001/50001
- Ensure the site is held to the highest standard of H&S , any issues are communicated in a timely manner and actions completed
- Maintain site processes/standards in line with the UFAS code of practice and company procedures
- To ensure that the working area is maintained to an acceptable standard of Hygiene throughout each working day
- Run the blending operation process in an efficient manner to deliver the production plan on time
- Communicate all issue/delays against the plan to colleagues and other departments
- Proactively reduce any areas that actively are generating waste
- Maintain the routine maintenance tasks and cleaning schedules
- Optimise utilisation of site space and reduce inventory where possible
