Production Operative

Summary
The Premium Blends Operator reports directly to the Production Manager ensuring the Premium Blends Plant runs at optimised efficiency/throughput whilst maintaining the company quality standards and UFAS requirements. To ensure that a high level of Health & Safety and hygiene is always adhered to throughout the operation.
Purpose of the Job
- Produce blends according to the required specifications while maintaining rigorous quality control to meet the standards outlined by the quality assurance scheme.
- Effectively communicate with colleagues and relevant departments regarding any challenges in meeting the production plan.
- Ensure full compliance with the Environmental and Energy Management Systems in accordance with BS EN ISO 14001/50001 standards.
- Uphold the highest standards of Health & Safety on site, promptly reporting any issues and ensuring timely resolution.
- Maintain site processes and standards in accordance with the UFAS Code of Practice and company procedures.
- Ensure that the working area is kept to a high standard of hygiene throughout each working day.
- Operate the blending process efficiently to meet production targets on schedule.
- Report any issues or delays affecting the production plan to colleagues and relevant departments in a timely manner.
- Actively work to minimize waste generation in all areas of operation.
- Ensure routine maintenance tasks and cleaning schedules are adhered to consistently.
- Optimize site space utilization and reduce inventory where feasible.
- Managing RM stocks to ensure RM’s are available and SAP stocks are correct.
- Participate in cleaning activities across the site as needed.
- Cover absence in the compound mill when required.
