“As a department we support employees throughout their life-cycle—from recruitment to training, development and remuneration. My role involves a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. A key part is maintaining personnel records containing confidential information. I work closely with managers and provide training on our internal HR software, Workday. I’m responsible for software inductions and enjoy meeting employees from different departments.”

HR Tasks

“We divide key tasks within the team. Some colleagues handle recruitment, assessments and candidate communications. Others manage training, payroll, recognition and audits. Collectively, we support the full employee journey. I am currently involved in a project updating policies, liaising with stakeholders and legal advisors. Supporting HR Business Partners, HR Advisors and Line Managers is a core part of my role.”

Training & Development

“I became interested in HR about five years ago and obtained my CIPD Level 5 Diploma in 2016. ForFarmers has supported my learning and development and offered opportunities for more responsibility. This supportive culture can be seen across the organisation as we organise training courses from sales techniques to time management and IT related sessions. Helping employees through training and support is one of the best aspects of my job.”
