Henrieke Boehlé (41) knows how to combine IT and customer experience cleverly. With her background in agriculture, she is a natural fit as an IT Business Partner-GoToMarket at ForFarmers. Here, she talks about her work and how it contributes to our mission 'For the Future of Farming'.

Henrieke: “After graduating from the HAS (Agricultural University of Applied Sciences) in Dronten, I started working for a competitor of ForFarmers. Eventually, I moved more and more into IT, which meant I was getting further and further away from the customer. So, when I was approached about a position as a business analyst at ForFarmers, I was immediately interested. The role involved the Manage@Farm applications, which are mainly used by the field service team. The prospect of being closer to the customer again appealed to me."

What steps have you been able to take within ForFarmers?

“The application landscape at ForFarmers has grown rapidly and a second business analyst joined the team. I became responsible for those customer-focused applications, to which C4C and MyForFarmers have also been added since 2019. I am now an IT business partner and manage a team of seven people. Together, we ensure that our CX environment — comprising all customer-focused apps and data — becomes smarter and more valuable over time.”

What does an IT Business Partner do?

“I work with my team at the intersection of business and IT. I coordinate with my team a lot, as well as with colleagues from different countries and sectors. I work partly in Lochem and partly at home or on site. I also sometimes visit suppliers. It's the variety, freedom and responsibility you get here, as well as the short lines of communication, that make the work so enjoyable.” 

How has your work contributed to your personal growth?

“Working at the intersection of technology and business has allowed me to significantly develop my communication skills and strategic insight. I have learned to understand IT solutions and translate them into real value for ForFarmers. My agricultural background has helped with this. Working with different teams and always thinking from the customer's perspective has further honed my ability to connect with others and adapt. The best part of my job? Creating value together, always with the customer in mind. It gives me a lot of energy.”

How would you summarise the culture at ForFarmers?

“Down-to-earth, decisive and with plenty of room for personal responsibility”, says Henrieke. “Actually, our company's core values perfectly encapsulate who we are, and they align seamlessly with our work in IT: delivering what the business needs. I'm really PROUD of that.”

How does your work contribute to 'For the Future of Farming'?

“By connecting technology and strategy. As more and more data becomes available from various applications, we digitise and optimise processes. This enables ForFarmers to work in a more sustainable, efficient and customer-focused way, strengthening the entire chain from farmer to consumer.”
