Werken bij ForFarmers

December 2021

Happy New Year!

2021 has flown by, I’ve enjoyed and learnt so much during the past few months. I’m looking forward to continuing to develop more skills and learnings, along with meeting new ForFarmers colleagues in 2022.

During December I had the opportunity to work alongside the Young Animal Feed (YAF) Team Technical Advisor, Emma Slater. Whilst working with Emma, I learnt more about her role within the YAF team.

I was really interested to learn from Emma more about Nutricare 360, a tool that ForFarmers has developed to assess a customer’s needs in order to take a tailored approach to provide a solution. This approach is a great way to achieve clear goals for piglet health, which is key for zinc removal. On my first week in August 2021 I had the opportunity to initially learn about one of the Nutricare tools on farm, it was great to expand upon this further to understand the additional tools we offer to support producers.

December was the start of the festive period and for me, that meant a trip back home to Northern Ireland. Working with ForFarmers it’s great to be able to work remotely and still be actively involved in team meetings and projects even if I’m on the other side of the pond!

When off on annual leave I had the opportunity to get involved with things such as shooting and catching up with close friends and family which I haven’t had the chance to do in some time.
