What is the role of a Talent Sourcer?

The Talent Sourcer/Recruitment Administrator is a new role within the ForFarmers UK HR Team. The role itself sits alongside the Recruitment Business Partner offering support with administrative elements of the recruitment cycle along with sourcing candidates through a variety of methods in line with the talent attraction strategy. The successful candidate will support in providing pipelines of candidates to a range of roles across UK Business.

PART TIME - This role is on a part time basis. Hours and days are negotiable. The ideal fit would be a spread of hours across the week circa 25-30 hours however we are keen to discuss other variations with the right person (short days, evenings, mornings etc considered). The role can be either fully remote or a mixture of hybrid working at home and in our Shepshed office.

Please note, this is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.

Key responsibilities and duties of the role include:

  • Searching for and identifying candidates within the market in line with requisition requirements.
  • Mapping of talent within the market/sector to build future pipelines allowing recruitment to be proactive rather than reactive.
  • Source candidates from jobsites, social media and other platforms.
  • Contacting candidates and conduct initial screening role suitability, salary expectations, notice period, the reason for leaving current role, and so on.
  • Craft and send recruiting emails
  • Attending and contributing to briefings and vacancy reviews with hiring managers
  • Coordination of Interviews for candidates of interest. This involves diary management for hiring managers, candidate liaison to confirm availability, booking of rooms/virtual conferences and the sending of confirmation emails.
  • Asking for referrals from current employees and external networks
  • Providing general day to day support to the recruitment function, such as answering enquiries, supporting processes, and making sure that the candidates and hiring managers always receive a professional and comprehensive recruitment service.
  • Promote our employer brand online and offline
  • Supporting with reporting and campaign updates to hiring managers and the wider business as required.
  • Inputting of candidate details into our ATS (Applicant Tracking System) ensuring it is up to date and maintained.
  • Analyse market trends and providing insights to shape our offering and routes to market strategy
  • Ad-hoc recruitment related activity as required

The successful candidate will have:

  • A base level of work experience (ideally within a corporate or office environment) would be beneficial but not strictly a deal breaker
  • Administrative experience (beneficial)
  • Customer service and inter personal  skills
  • Some recruitment exposure or experience would be ideal, however is not strictly necessary
  • Good communication and written skills in English
  • Microsoft Office (in particular Excel and Word)
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
  • High level of attention to detail
