Management Accountant
Location Bury St Edmunds with occasional travel in the UK and Netherlands, full time,

The Management Accountant is responsible for collating, analysing, interpreting and consolidating accurate reporting, forecast and budget information to support senior management in delivering business strategy. The role includes analysing performance and challenging the business to ensure financial objectives are delivered.
Reporting to the FP&A Manager the Management Accountant must work collaboratively with finance colleagues’ also supporting management within the business both commercial and supply chain.
What will you do?
Ensure the provision of accurate forecast and budget information and drive profitability and performance of the business.
To collate, analyse, interpret and present accurate financial and management accounting information to senior management and recommend action to maintain sound business practice and achieve financial objectives.
Provide support to FP&A Manager on performance of critical processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly results.

Tasks and responsibilities:

 Provide UK Finance Director and Senior Management with information necessary for the completion of Financial and Management Accounts and provide advice and explanation of performance.
 Oversee production of the monthly reporting, forecasting and budgeting pack. Coordinate input from other finance colleagues and the business.
 Manage the input of monthly management accounting information into financial systems.
 Continuous improvement in processes including working with IT to provide technological enhancements.

Finance Support:
 Provide sales team financial support and ensure timely production of monthly sales team variance analysis against budget, utilising SAP and BW reporting.
 Provide support to Supply Chain and Commercial BU controllers in analysing performance and challenging the business.

Forecasting & Budgeting
 Oversee production of quarterly rolling 12 month forecast and monthly 3-month outlook in accordance with group timetable.
 Oversee production of annual budget for specific cost centres and profit centres. Ensure budget meets financial objectives and is produced in accordance with group timetable.

Raw Material Cost Book:
 Undertake monitoring of mill-based raw material cost book and utilise cost book information for monthly pricing decisions, forecasting and annual budgeting purposes.

 Prepare monthend journals, manage allocation of central costs to business units.
 Support the UK Finance Director on ad hoc projects to deliver profitability and efficiency improvements.

Your CV shows:
• CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified
• Degree level education preferable with a financial bias
• Preferable 2/3 years’ post qualified experience in finance
• Able to build up relevant network
• Strong personal presence and good communicator.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Knowledge of SAP and BW preferable
• Full Driving licence with ability to drive in the UK
