ForFarmers has reinforced its beef and sheep team in the south east with the appointment of Senior Ruminant Specialist Jason Coleman-Miles.

Jason, who is based outside Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, will be covering the south east of England. He brings a wealth of experience as a former beef cattle farmer in South Africa and having previous commercial roles in the industry.

These include working for soil fertiliser and animal feed companies, and more recently working for the last two and a half years for an online marketplace where farmers can buy and sell livestock in the UK, and more recently with organisations in North America and South Africa.

“ForFarmers’ focus on customer service was very appealing when I undertook this role,” comments Jason. “I am looking forward to having my boots back on the ground after a remote role and building relationships with customers face to face.

“It will also be rewarding to help with a current need for sustainable solutions in the industry. Conditions are challenging right now, but UK farmers are open minded and forward thinking, and it will be rewarding to be in a position to help them achieve their goals under current pressures.”

Alister Davies, commercial manager beef and sheep for ForFarmers added: “We are delighted to welcome Jason to the team. He will be a positive and helpful asset for us, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role.”
