Employees at ForFarmers have completed a 26.5-mile sponsored walk, raising more than £4500 for Lancashire-based charity Heartbeat NWCC in the process.
The walk on Saturday 23rd March started at 4am from the ForFarmers site in Preston and followed a route to Bilsborrow before heading along the canal path to the Glasson dock in Lancaster.
ForFarmers Transport Manager Jade Wing was one of the team members who took part and co-organised the event. “It was real team effort with 40 people involved - either walking or supporting the walkers - and we covered over 250 miles between us. Several Heartbeat members met us along the way to cheer us on, or join us for part of the walk, which was fabulous.
“We are absolutely delighted to raise so much for Heartbeat, which does such vital work helping people with cardiac illness. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the total so far.”
