Employees at ForFarmers Preston Mill are embarking on a challenging 46-mile walk next month to support the Lancashire-based cardiac health charity Heartbeat.
‘The Big Walk’ which takes place on 23rd March will start at the ForFarmers site in Preston and follow a route to the company’s Glasson dock and back.
ForFarmers Transport Manager Jade Wing is one of the team members taking part in the walk. “Heartbeat has supported a number of our employees and colleagues over the years and continues to do so today,” she said “The hard work that Heartbeat does to look after our friends and families isn’t possible without our support.
Anyone wishing to sponsor the team can do so via the dedicated fundraising page here. “Every donation will make a significant impact on Heartbeat’s work to improve cardiac health through cardiac rehabilitation exercise classes, regular health walks in addition to organising of social events for their members and carers,” added Jade.
ForFarmers Craig Rogers Regional Operations Manager said: "The Big Walk is not just a physical challenge for our team, but a heartfelt endeavour to support a fantastic local charity. We hope the event will help raise a good amount for the incredible work they do for individuals facing cardiac health challenges."
