Jon Kenny, Key Account Manager

Department: Pig

My role with ForFarmers

Jon Kenny, Key Account Manager

“I’ve worked with ForFarmers for four years, having worked in the pig industry for the majority of my career.”

“I cover the South and South West of England, which, having plenty of farms keeps me busy!”

“The key to my role is having and keeping good bonds with customers”

“Pre-lockdown I was out on farms up to three times a week. These pre-arranged visits could be office meetings to discuss feeding regimes or prices with customers, but equally, it could be out on the farm.”

“My favourite visit is attending routine vet visits on the farm, a necessity for the pork to be Farm Assured.”

My role since lockdown

“Despite farm visits having been drastically reduced, the strong bond previously built up with customers has eased the virtual challenge.”

“I look forward to getting back out and seeing my customers face to face.”

Working as a team

“There is an impressive cross-section of knowledge, skills, and, personalities within the team, which along with the strong communication brings all the departments together.”
